New Translators
Monday 1 September 2008
We’re very happy to announce that Nalanda will be partly sponsoring Ven. Khedrup (Rory Khemacitto from Canada) and Hugues Moisy (France) to join the Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo Translator Program in Dharamsala. We’d like to invite you to help with costs of these two students joining the program which will help Nalanda directly upon their graduation.
"LRZTP" is a 4-year Tibetan language training program aimed at providing native speaker interpreters in FPMT centres worldwide. Two years are classroom study in Dharamsala, India followed by two years in a centre as an interpreter for a Tibetan Geshe.
This year the program will start in November.
People can help Nalanda by making a monthly contribution or a one-off donation of 3500 Euros, or any amount as part of this. Translators are very valuable as they are they means by which we hear the words of our kind teachers. Our current translator (Ven. Tharchin) is also a student from this program and has proved invaluable to Nalanda’s study program.
Please contact the director for more information.
